"healthy food"
I grew up in N.O. My heart broke when I witnessed on TV the devastation from the broken levees after Katrina. Now I worry about the term "healthy food" grown in soil saturated with every bit of pollution, waste, & toxin imaginable, floating around the city for weeks. Let's not forget the flooded Superfund sites. SO please tell me how the organizers of the these community gardens & sustainable farms will DEcontaminate soil to produce healthy food? Or perhaps they plan to spend taxpayer contributions shipping in TONS of clean soil from very far away? And who's thinking of the long-term effects on local children?
I hope there is no cause for concern, but please explain why! I'll be watching for a post.
