Visitor Consent

By visiting our website, you give Transforma Projects permission to process your Personal Information according to this Privacy Policy. Personal Information may be processed in the country where it was collected, including the United States, as well as in countries where privacy laws may be less stringent.

Why we require an email address when registering

The typical question related to privacy is, "Why are you asking for all this contact information on your user registration form and what are you going to do with it?" We ask for an email address for a few of reasons.

• One of the primary missions of the website is to build community around locally based projects and so it provides a way for people to contact you about your project, should you choose to let them. By default we allow people to send you an email via a contact form associated with your profile. You can edit your user settings and turn that off if you prefer.
• In case we need to contact you for the reasons outlined further below.
• Attempt to cut down on automated spambots abusing our website.

What we may do with your contact information

Here are the reasons we can forsee contacting you with the information you provide when you register.

• We may be able to provide an opportunity for you and other people involved in select community projects to talk directly with a potential grant funder.
• We may know of a related project or project(s) that we think you might benefit from knowing about or contacting and may contact you with such information.
• We have a question about a comment or post you have made to the website and want to clear it up before we either take down the post or make changes to it.
• We may also periodically contact you with news or information about new features on the website.
• And here's something we could forsee possibly doing but have no plans for at the moment: If we know of another organization or project that may be of interest to you based on either a) it's related to a project you have posted information about or b) it's related to Transforma Projects mission, we might pass along information from them to you.

Let's be clear about what we won't do.

We won't sell your name and contact information to anybody. We won't give away your name or contact information to anybody that plans to contact you for a commercial enterprise.

We will not give away or sell your contact information to nonprofits or any entity for them to simply contact you asking for a monetary donation.

Some other information we track

Our website automatically receives from your web browser and records in our web server logs non-personally-identifiable information. This includes your IP address, cookie information, and the page you request, as well as other typical browser usage information such as browser type, referral page, entry page, exit page, and so forth.

We use our server logs to get aggregate statistical information about visits to our website. We may share such information with other organizations or others people (for example, via press release).

Links To and From Outside websites

This website contains links to outside websites. Transforma Projects is not accountable for the privacy practices of other sites. We encourage our visitors to be aware when they leave our site, and to read the privacy policies of each and every website that collects personal information.

Regarding Minors

This website is not designed for minors under the age of 13. We do not intentionally gather Personal Information about visitors who are under the age of 13.

No Guarantees For Factors Beyond Our Control

While this Privacy Policy outlines our standards for maintenance of private data, we cannot guarantee that the standards will always be met. There may be factors beyond Transforma Projects control (for example somebody cracking the web server hosting this site) that may result in disclosure of data. Therefore, Transforma Projects disclaims any warranties or representations relating to maintenance or nondisclosure of private information.
