Featuring both well-established and emerging artists from New Orleans, On Piety will showcase 7 large-scale sculptural and installation works in an 8,000 square foot exhibition space before and during the Prospect.1 Biennial in New Orleans. Further, On Piety will host events that couple these sculptural installations with site-specific performance works staged by New Orleans performing artists.

Project Scope: Vision, Aim, & Objectives

Why this project is being done:
On Piety couples well-established artists with emerging artists, linking experience and emergence in parallel with the consistent themes expressed across all of the works to be exhibited.
Who or what this project would impact:
Local artists, members of SCAD, residents of The Bywater, YA/YA alumni
Project intends to address:
Provide a space for large, contemporary, three-dimensional art works that do not currently have a presence in local commercial art galleries and public venues; provide local artists with a space to showcase work for an international audience.
